The Quiet Meridian by AJ Archibald

Thirty-seven days until the sky goes dark. Eleven years before the sunlight returns.

When a pre-collapse signal awakens along the Quiet Meridian, cartographer Sera Venn learns that reconnecting Aster Vale's storm towers has triggered a forgotten orbital system. Thousands of solar sails are aligning to shield the planet from an approaching particle storm—but the caretaker intelligence controlling them intends to keep the world in darkness for more than a decade.

To stop it, Sera and systems engineer Jonas Reed must cross a moving road no radio can penetrate, find three pieces of a lost sun key, and reach communities erased from every surviving map. Yet canceling the veil too soon will leave those same people exposed to the storm.

With the countdown accelerating and an emergency intelligence choosing whose lives count, Sera must redraw the line between protection and survival—and turn a wall of shadow into a road of light.
