Towerborn by Nicholas Gagnier

A princess locked in a tower. An elven boy sold into slavery. A kingdom on the brink — and ancient forces stirring beyond its walls.

In the capital of Auberlind, twelve‑year‑old Princess Iva has spent her life hidden away in a white tower — a living secret in a realm ruled by fear, ambition, and a queen mother who will do anything to keep her power.

In the slums below, an elven boy named Athlin escapes a brutal slaver only to fall in with a mismatched crew of outcasts: a hardened rogue, a streetwise orphan, and an exiled elven warrior with enemies of her own.

When a desperate heist leads them into the tower itself, their worlds collide, and the truth they uncover forces them to flee the city as every faction in Avilon turns against them. But the girl in the tower was never the real secret. Something older than the kingdom has begun to wake. And what waits beyond the city walls may be far more dangerous than the power that hunts them.

Towerborn launches the End of Aegis saga — a slow‑burn epic fantasy of rising magic, political intrigue, and mythic forces returning to a world unprepared for their arrival.
