Vagabond by Blood by Linda Maye Adams

Nick Cobb wants out. After years as a covert operative, he's ready to stop killing and start over. But on a luxury space cruise, his final assignment turns complicated when he crosses paths with an abused wife on the run from her powerful ex‑husband.

When pursuers close in, Nick must choose between the mission he's sworn to complete and the woman who's asked him for help. Protecting her might cost him his future. Walking away might cost her life.

A tense, character‑driven sci‑fi thriller about escape and redemption.
