Across the Pillars of Hercules by Christie Siettou

What if Plato was telling the truth? What if the story of Atlantis is not an allegory but an actual recount of a forgotten piece of our history? The debate on the existence of Atlantis is as old as the story itself. This book provides a new investigation on the location of the city of Atlantis. By taking Plato's descriptions as true, and following the original ancient Greek text, it tries to establish a plausible geographical location of the lost city of Atlantis via an evidence-based approach. The focus of the investigation is on whether the seamount of Bermuda could be a candidate of the plain that Plato was describing. This geographical area has never been investigated before. The investigation takes a strictly evidence-based approach, utilising existing literature in paleoarchaeology, geology, environmental science, and classical studies.
