Teacher's Pet by Mila Hart

Daphne arrived at Briarwood University desperate for a clean slate. Instead, she crossed paths with Trent Hayes—the golden boy of the biology department, the one person she never should've caught staring at her…or wanting her.

When Daphne unknowingly took the coveted lab spot Trent had chased for years, his interest curdled into something vicious. He ignored her. He humiliated her. He touched other girls while watching her reactions like they were his personal entertainment. And every time she tried to explain, he shut her down harder.

But Daphne refused to break. She buried herself in classes, in new friendships, in anything that kept her from thinking about the blue-eyed monster who seemed obsessed with tearing her down.

Trent told himself he hated her—hated her innocence, her determination, the way her eyes dropped whenever he cornered her. But hatred wasn't supposed to feel like hunger. It wasn't supposed to keep him up at night. And it wasn't supposed to make him want to claim the very girl he'd set out to ruin.

Because the closer he pushed her to the edge, the more he realized something terrifying—
Breaking her wasn't enough.
He wanted to own her.
