The Wake Of The Crimson Tide by Samuel Ludke

Captain Rowan Vale prefers lounging in the crow's nest with a half-empty bottle over doing heavy lifting. But when a relentless pirate enemy and the shadowy Crown Hunters close in, Rowan and his fiercely loyal crew are dragged into a high-stakes race across treacherous waters. Facing towering sea monsters, ancient secrets, and a primordial power waking from the deep, Rowan discovers that the greatest treasure the sea has to offer isn't gold or glory—it's the courage to stand by your crew until the very end.
