Corrow Falls - A Gripping Small-Town Thriller About the Secrets a Silence Can Hide by Mara Voss

Every afternoon, by law, this town goes completely silent. One day, someone used that silence to get away with murder.

Audiologist Nell Colby came home to bury her mother and take over the family hearing clinic — not to investigate a killing her entire town witnessed and somehow failed to hear. But the more she listens for what Corrow Falls isn't saying, the more she suspects the silence that let a man die wasn't new. It was a habit. One this town has been quietly practicing for years — and one Nell recognizes with a cold, sinking certainty, because she has a porch of her own she's spent twenty years refusing to think about.

Six days remain before the rest of the world starts watching Corrow Falls live, and Nell is running out of time to find out who turned her town's silence into a weapon — and why. But the closer she gets to the truth, the more certain she becomes that the real danger was never the quiet itself. It was whoever taught an entire town to stop noticing. If a whole community can train itself not to hear a man scream... what have you spent your own life refusing to hear?
