The Final Profile by Alisa Shaw

Fifteen years ago, FBI Agent Jessica Stone failed to catch a serial killer known only as Ledger. The case was buried. So were the bodies—and the guilt she never escaped.

Until now.

A body found in a Manhattan high-rise changes everything. In the victim's hand: a spiral-shaped paperclip. Ledger's signature.

Either the killer has returned… or he never left.

As more ritualistic murders surface across New York, Jessica realizes the victims are not random—they are tied to a vanished Vatican-linked financial network erased from public record years ago.

But the deeper she digs, the more the case begins to shift.

Evidence is arriving before she requests it. Crime scenes feel staged for her arrival. And every step forward matches patterns that shouldn't be visible yet.

Ledger isn't just killing.

He's directing her investigation.

And if Jessica is right, she isn't just tracking a serial killer—she is already inside a design that has been waiting fifteen years to finish her.

From Wall Street's most exclusive circles to abandoned psychiatric facilities beneath Manhattan, Jessica races to uncover a system built on ritual, power, and control—before she becomes its final piece.
