The Girl from Bodies, Inc. by Randall Garrett

Hugh Horner is a tired, middle-aged man haunted by his failing body, empty marriage, and the fear that life is already slipping away. Then a strange rub-down attendant at a bathhouse introduces him to Bodies, Inc., a company that claims youth can be bought as easily as a replacement part, and casually suggests that Horner's old friend George has already taken the plunge. What begins as a disturbing sales pitch becomes a nightmare of temptation when Horner is drawn to the Long Island operation, where a beautiful young woman, a row of healthy young men, and a hypnotic procedure promise a second chance at life. Instead, Horner awakens in the body of Lonnie Overman, a convicted murderer trapped in a prison escape tunnel. Forced to survive a life that is not his own, he flees through darkness, river water, and gunfire, steals a truck, and races toward Brooklyn in search of his wife and the truth. But the deeper he goes, the more horrifying the betrayal becomes: another Hugh Horner is already living his life, and the body he thought could save him has become the instrument of his ruin.
