Tom Clancy Zero Point by Jack Stewart

Jack Ryan Jr. finds himself caught in the middle of South American revolution in the latest entry in the #1 New York Times bestselling series.

Jack Ryan, Jr. is in Silicon Valley to conduct due diligence on Blackout Labs, a software firm that is revolutionizing electrical grid software. The company's harddriving COO Lucia Benitez is leaving the presentation when Jack approaches to schedule a meeting on behalf of his investors. But before he can, the quiet streets outside Stanford University erupt in gunfire when a carefully executed ambush leaves her driverless taxi wrecked and her attackers gone without a word. No robbery. No message. Just a clean, professional attempt on her life.

Alarmed by the threat to the young woman, Jack follows her back to Buenos Aires to watch her back and hopefully uncover the origin of the threat. It's a daunting task at the best of times, but as the political situation begins to heat up in Argentina, Jack begins to feel less like a knight and more like a pawn.
