Matthew — A Poetic Rendition by Susan K. White

Two thousand years after the coming of Jesus Christ, believers continue to find comfort in the lessons derived from his birth, ministry, crucifixion, and resurrection. Matthew — A Poetic Rendition: A New Beginning conveys those lessons in verse, helping us to follow in our Savior’s footsteps—footsteps that will lead us to eternal life. In these pages, every chapter of Matthew is distilled into poetry, each poem inviting readers to experience familiar passages with fresh eyes and a listening heart. Walk beside fishermen and kings, saints and skeptics. Climb mountains where blessings are spoken. Sit among crowds who hear the kingdom proclaimed. Stand at the cross. Witness the empty tomb. Though we grapple with temptation, anxiety, and the struggle to meet our daily needs, the cadence of salvation beats within the heart of anyone who is willing to march to the message of the Gospel. Matthew — A Poetic Rendition’s joyous words remind us to stay attuned to its rhythm. Author Bio: Susan K. White is an author, illustrator, and poet laureate whose work provides inspiration to others.
