THE YES BEHIND THE POLICY by Nakel Nikiema

Every year the industry publishes the same number in a slightly different form: American families are underprotected by tens of trillions of dollars. Websites got better. Applications got faster. Prices, in real terms, came down. The gap did not.

Nakel Nikiema argues the reason is not ignorance. Most adults already know what life insurance is. The reason is psychological. Deciding to buy coverage requires you to imagine your own death, and the brain does not treat that as paperwork. It treats it as danger. So the consumer delays. The producer pushes. Both leave disappointed. Another family stays exposed.

The Yes Behind the Policy takes that conversation apart and rebuilds it.

Drawing on Dale Carnegie's forgotten yes-ladder, modern behavioral science, clinical hypnotherapy, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Nikiema gives both sides of the table a shared language:
why the first sixty seconds decide the meetinghow certain industry words close the mind before the numbers are even on the tablea two-yes opener, three discovery questions, and an ethical closethe inner work producers need before the call, and the inner work consumers need before they signhow to answer "let me think about it" without pressure, tricks, or shame
Consumers will finally understand why they have been circling the same decision for years, and how to move through it. Producers will stop fighting objections raised by the opening itself.

The goal is not a clever close. The goal is a family that is actually protected.
