The Nurse

By day, she is a healer. By night, she is something else entirely.

When five of her colleagues abruptly leave the ward, one exhausted nurse is left to carry the weight of her patients. But a chance encounter in town after her shift changes her life forever. A strange group, dressed in unsettling clothes and speaking in a language she doesn't understand, attack her. She wakes in the hospital, two litres of blood gone, her body fragile—yet something inside her has awakened.

At first, she believes the transfusion saved her life. Then the changes begin. Her hearing sharpens until she can catch whispers across the room. Her vision pierces shadows as if they were nothing. Worst of all, she can hear it—the steady thrum of every beating heart around her, calling to her, tempting her.

Now, every patient she cares for, every colleague who brushes past her in the corridor, is a test of willpower. She wants to save them… but part of her wants to devour them. Torn between her oath to heal and her new hunger for blood, she struggles to keep control as the darkness inside her grows stronger each night. The Nurse is a chilling, atmospheric story of compassion at war with temptation—a tale of humanity, monstrosity, and the razor-thin line between them.
