Unfinished Portrait by Raja Kumar

Unfinished Portrait is a romantic novel about two strangers who meet at the edge of an uncertain life and discover that sometimes the most unexpected person can become the beginning of something new.

Ethan Cole is an American painter living quietly in Kyoto, trying to rebuild his life after leaving behind disappointment and a career that no longer felt like home. His small gallery survives on occasional visitors, quiet paintings, and the hope that one day his unfinished work will finally find its meaning.

Then Aiko Tanaka walks into his gallery.

Aiko is a Japanese professional from Tokyo, carrying her own complicated past, family expectations, and a future that has already been carefully planned for her. What begins as a simple encounter gradually becomes a deep connection neither of them expected. Between rainy Kyoto streets, quiet meals, unfinished paintings, and conversations that reveal their hidden fears, Ethan and Aiko begin to question the lives they thought they were supposed to live.

But love does not erase reality. Distance, family pressure, career choices, money, and uncertainty stand between them.

Unfinished Portrait is a story about love, courage, second chances, and the difficult choice between the life others expect and the life your heart truly wants.
