No Safe Harbor by Alden S Bauers

When British pop sensation Luna Vela becomes the target of a blackmailer threatening to release a compromising video, she turns to private investigator Vance Devane to make the payoff.

It should be a simple job.

It isn't.

The money and the video disappear, Vance is knocked unconscious, and the man who was supposed to receive the payoff turns up dead. Worse, the evidence begins pointing toward Vance himself. Suddenly, the man hired to solve the crime must clear his own name while hunting the real killer.

As Vance and his team dig deeper, they uncover a trail of gambling debts, secret lovers, suspicious payments, and a video with a very unexpected origin.

And the deeper Vance digs, the more dangerous the blackmail becomes.

With the blackmailer still at large, Vance must untangle a web of betrayal stretching from Hilton Head Island to London before he—or someone he cares about—pays the ultimate price.

For Vance Devane, protecting his clients is part of the job.

Clearing his own name may be the hardest case of his career.
