RUSTBELT RUNWAY by GEORGE FREDERIC

One wrong turn sure can change your day.

Sometime in the late 1970s, somewhere in the Rust Belt, a dope-smoking Vietnam vet and a hitchhiking college co-ed take a wrong turn down a backcountry highway. In the course of one muggy spring day, their road trip spirals into an apocalyptic nightmare.

Between sunrise and sundown, this unlikely duo must navigate a bizarre gauntlet of maniacal paramedics, fugitive war criminals, gourmet hillbillies, and man-eating insects—all while stumbling into domestic terrorism and a nuclear accident.

Equal parts dark comedy and fast-paced thriller, this novel proves that a single bad decision can lead to the wildest ride of your life. And, if they're lucky, even a kind of love.
