Visiting Day by Rosa Bäumler

It is visiting day at Sonnenhang: white tablecloths on the long garden tables, garlands in the cherry tree, families arriving with cake and good intentions. But Konrad has confided something to Hildegard - lately he has that feeling again, the one he had two years ago just before he fell on the stairs, as though someone is watching and waiting for him to slip. Hildegard has spent a lifetime learning that character reveals itself at the breakfast table, long before anything happens. As the celebration unfolds she watches, and what she sees will make this visiting day one no one at the home forgets. The fourth Mrs Bergmann Investigates mystery - a warm, sharp cosy crime novel about family, appearances and the danger in a perfect afternoon.
