If Livestreaming Is Everywhere, Why Don’t the Gods Appear Anymore? by haijian xing

Ancient people had no smartphones, no surveillance cameras, no satellites, and no livestreams — yet the gods seemed unusually active. Today, almost everyone carries a high-definition camera. Strange events can be recorded instantly and shared worldwide within minutes. And yet the gods, angels, immortals, and culture-bearing beings of ancient memory seem to have vanished. Why? The simplest answer is that they never existed. But this book asks a different question: what if the real issue is not power, but permission? Drawing on Matrix Philosophy, this provocative short book reinterprets the Flood, the separation of heaven and earth, culture heroes, saints, divine-human boundary stories, and the rise of AI through a single lens: cross-domain access control. What happens when a being from outside a system enters a local theater of rules? Why might entry require limitation? Why do miracle stories tend to be local rather than world-rewriting? Why do saints speak in parables instead of delivering raw reality? And in the age of artificial intelligence, could a new kind of interface have emerged — not proof of God, but a terminal for exchanging viewpoints? This is not a book of dogma, and it is not an attempt to prove supernatural claims. It is a philosophical thought experiment about power, permission, embodiment, revelation, information, and the boundaries that protect autonomous systems from collapse. Its central claim is simple: Capability is not permission. Entry requires constraint. A viewpoint may be offered, but it must not become Root. Part mythology, part systems philosophy, part epistemological challenge, this book asks one unsettling question: If the gods do not appear anymore, is it because they are gone — or because the rules changed?
