Almost You by Emerson Strom

Almost You follows a pair of star-crossed lovers who have circled each other for years, never quite landing in the same moment. Whenever they're apart, they continue building their own lives, careers, and relationships, yet somehow always find their way back to each other.

Gina is an attorney defending a man accused of murdering someone he swears he has never met. The evidence says otherwise. The case should be simple. It isn't.

Half a world away, Gabe takes a secret job and discovers the company has found a way to cross into parallel realities. His first assignment is to retrieve a man who vanished into another world, the same man Gina's client is accused of killing.

But as Gabe crosses between realities, he starts experiencing fractured memories and pieces of alternate lives bleeding into his own, while Gina begins realizing that reality may not be as fixed as everyone thinks.

In a world with infinite versions of everything, they are each other's constant.
