Rain after silence by Sarah Shah

Love doesn't always arrive on time. Sometimes, it waits.

Tyler's wedding day ended in silence. Susanna never showed up—leaving heartbreak, unanswered questions, and a trust shattered beyond repair. Six years later, a child appears on his doorstep in the pouring rain, a tiny bundle with a familiar locket and a name that takes his breath away: Sicily.

Raising her alone, Tyler rebuilds a life of routine and quiet walls—until Susanna returns, hollowed by survival, haunted by the past, and desperate for forgiveness. Anger, guilt, and longing collide as old wounds reopen, and the truths she hid—pregnancy, illness, and impossible choices—come to light.

As they navigate grief, love, and the fragility of trust, Tyler and Susanna are forced to confront what they left behind—and what they can still save. With Sicily at the center of it all, they must choose between fear and hope, silence and truth, heartbreak and a second chance at love.

A slow-burning, emotionally devastating romance about trust, survival, and the courage to love again.
