The House in Lisbon by Sienna Vaughn

Twenty-eight days until the opening. The Meridian, a stately grand hotel high above the rooftops of Lisbon, is meant to shine again in full splendour - but behind the freshly plastered façades, far more than the old stucco is crumbling. When the project manager takes over the final weeks before the grand opening, she finds a house full of secrets, unspoken accounts and people who all have something to hide. With every day the countdown ticks down, one thing becomes clearer: some doors are better left closed. An atmospheric, elegantly told opening to the Meridian series - about ambition, old guilt and the question of what truly makes a home.
