ECHOLITH by Jaffer Sadiq

In the aching silence of the Precambrian, when continents were raw and skies burned amber, the Echoliths rose — not built, but grown. Living monoliths of mineral and memory, they recorded the planet’s first covenant: to remember what the world would try to forget. Kael, a wanderer of the First People, is marked by the stone that should not speak. Pursued by the Hollow — entities that unmake memory — he must cross the Ashen Sea, descend into the Lithic Library, and awaken the Covenant before the Echoliths fall silent forever. If the monoliths die, deep time dies with them. And humanity, when it finally arrives, will never know it was not the first to grow old.
