The Plus-One Agreement by Tania Lucy

Mara Bennett has no problem attending another gala alone. She'd just rather not.

Daniel Mercer feels much the same.

So when two busy, happily independent professionals realize they keep running into each other at the same weddings, fundraisers, and obligatory social events, they make a practical agreement: for one year, they'll be each other's first-choice plus-one.

No pretending to be in love. No expectations. No complications.

It works perfectly.

Until Mara starts looking for Daniel in every crowded room. Until Daniel begins making space for her in a life he thought was already settled. And until the easiest relationship either of them has ever had becomes much harder to call an arrangement.

The Plus-One Agreement is a warm, witty, slow-burn contemporary romance about two capable people in their forties discovering that sometimes love doesn't arrive with fireworks. Sometimes it quietly becomes the person you want beside you when you go home.
