Dark Fantasy – Sports Fiction – Humorous Fantasy
They don't need magic. They need better angles.
Three miles beneath the earth, football isn't a game.
It's a blood sport controlled by the Syndicate, where debt-ridden monster athletes are treated as disposable assets—and losing can mean liquidation.
Elizabeth Harris is a human physical therapist who should never have been allowed near a monster football team. She has no supernatural powers, no patience for heroics, and absolutely no interest in playing by the old rules.
She has something far more dangerous: biomechanics.
When her head coach is killed on the sideline, Elizabeth takes command of the doomed Underdowns and turns a roster of broken monsters into a precision weapon. Torn ligaments become tactical weaknesses. Massive bodies become levers. Every movement, collision, and injury becomes another variable in her ruthless game plan.
Then there's Scott—a terrified human mind trapped inside a nine-hundred-pound monster body. With Elizabeth's brutal coaching, he must learn to control his monstrous instincts, master the physics of football, and survive opponents who are literally built to tear him apart.
But the Syndicate has money riding on their deaths.
And every time the Underdowns win, the monsters they are sent to fight become bigger, faster, and more impossible.
The Underdowns is a darkly funny, brutally violent fantasy sports novel packed with monster football, tactical action, body horror, sports medicine, biomechanical strategy, and an unforgettable underdog team.
Because in the underground league, survival isn't about being stronger.
It's about knowing exactly where to hit.
