Ornamental Love: A Bored Coffee Novella by Vera Lune

Lin only wanted a story.

When a clumsy waitress loses her job after a disastrous first day, cynical writer Lin takes pity on her and brings her home for coffee. Swana was supposed to be nothing more than material for Lin's next story—a convenient muse with an interesting life.

Instead, the two women become friends.

Then the friendship starts becoming something neither of them knows how to handle.

As Lin struggles to understand feelings she has spent years dismissing, Swana finds herself drawn to the confidence she wishes she possessed. Their playful conversations, awkward dates, old wounds, and growing attraction gradually turn a casual friendship into something far more important.

But affection is complicated when both of them are carrying their own insecurities, past betrayals, and reasons to fear getting close.

Sometimes love begins as an idea.

Sometimes it becomes the only thing that feels real.
