MISS ROYAL by Zaylo

Eight-year-old Mia is officially done with being ordinary. From now on, she is Miss Royal: ruler of the bedroom, commander of the royal kitchen, and protector of the realm!

Armed with a magnificent crown cut from an empty cereal box, heavily decorated with pink glitter stickers, and secured with an impressive (if slightly terrifying) amount of scotch tape, Mia decrees her first royal law: everyone must address her properly.

Unfortunately, her royal subjects—including her exhausted parents, her skeptical little brother Leo, and a neighborhood full of unexpected surprises—don't always follow the script. From five-star breakfasts that turn out to be ordinary scrambled eggs to a missing crown investigation involving a very confused kitten, Mia's reign is full of hilarious chaos.

But when a real emergency strikes at school, Mia faces the ultimate royal test. Will she choose to be the most important person in the room, or will she discover that true royalty is all about kindness, imagination, and chocolate cake?

Perfect for fans of funny, character-driven early chapter books, Miss Royal is a delightful, laugh-out-loud story about growing up, big imaginations, and learning what it really means to make others feel special.

Ideal for early readers, ages 6–9.
