ENTERING THE INFINITE PATTERN by Cynthia Henderson

ENTER THE PATTERN. EXPLORE THE MIND. DISCOVER THE WORLD WITHIN THE CIRCLE. Why have humans been fascinated by circles, spirals, symmetry and repeating patterns for thousands of years? ENTERING THE INFINITE PATTERN explores the extraordinary world of mandalas through art, psychology, sacred geometry, meditation, mindfulness and consciousness. From ancient sacred traditions to modern optical illusions and the emerging possibilities of digital and AI-generated art, this richly illustrated visual book reveals how patterns can capture attention, inspire creativity and transform the way we experience stillness, focus and flow. Journey through the ancient origins of mandalas and discover why the human brain is naturally drawn to symmetry and repetition. Explore the hypnotic effects of spirals and optical illusions, the symbolism hidden within sacred geometry, the meditative power of circular design, and the fascinating relationship between artistic creation and creative flow states. You will also discover how mandalas have evolved from ancient spiritual symbols into contemporary forms of art, mindfulness and creative expression — and how digital technology and artificial intelligence may shape the mandalas of the future. INSIDE YOU'LL EXPLORE: • The ancient origins of mandalas • Why the human brain loves patterns • The psychology of symmetry and repetition • Mandalas, relaxation and mindful attention • Optical illusions and hypnotic visual effects • Sacred geometry and spiritual symbolism • Why colouring intricate patterns can encourage focus • Meditation through pattern and design • The deeper meaning of circular geometry • Mandalas in modern art, therapy and mindfulness • The science of creative flow states • How to create your own mandalas • The future of digital and AI mandala art Throughout the book, intricate black-and-white illustrations transform these ideas into visual experiences. Designed to be observed, contemplated and coloured, the artwork invites you to become part of the patterns rather than simply reading about them. Whether you are fascinated by mandalas, sacred geometry, mindfulness, optical illusions, psychology, meditation, creativity or visionary art, ENTERING THE INFINITE PATTERN offers a journey through the remarkable connection between geometry and the human mind. Part visual art book. Part exploration of consciousness. Part creative experience. Every mandala begins with a single point. From that point, an entire universe can unfold. ENTER THE INFINITE PATTERN.
