Weird Fiction – Industrial Horror – Dark Fantasy - Dark Satire
At 11:47 PM, Senior Safety Inspector Brenda Vance enters a condemned amusement park.
By sunrise, she intends to shut it down.
Joyland Kingdom was built to create happy memories. Now its rusting rides run on stolen souls, its machinery hunts anything that moves, and its abandoned attractions conceal decades of corporate death, illegal labor, and supernatural exploitation.
But Brenda Vance has something the monsters never anticipated: federal authority.
Armed with an OSHA clipboard, a mechanical pencil, a stack of condemnation tags, and an encyclopedic knowledge of workplace safety regulations, Brenda begins the most dangerous inspection of her career. Every unguarded machine, toxic substance, pressure vessel, and exposed electrical system becomes a violation—and every violation gives her a little more power against the horrors inside.
Because in this world, the law is more than ink on paper.
It is a binding force forged from the lives of workers who died to create the protections that followed.
As Brenda descends beneath the haunted amusement park into its industrial underworld, she uncovers a soul-powered machine designed to turn human suffering into corporate profit. And at the top of the mountain waits Malphas, the demonic CEO who believes no mortal law can touch his kingdom.
He may have underestimated the inspector.
Part industrial horror, part weird fiction, and part dark fantasy, Rollercoaster Rot is a brutal, atmospheric, darkly satirical descent into haunted machinery, corporate horror, supernatural bureaucracy, and the terrifying consequences of treating human lives as operating costs.
The inspection begins at 11:47 PM.
The park closes at sunrise.
And Brenda Vance has 412 violations to write.
