The Rover Boys on the Farm; or, Last Days at Putnam Hall by Edward Stratemeyer

Return to Putnam Hall for the Rover boys' final term in this complete, unabridged edition of Edward Stratemeyer's beloved 1904 adventure. Dick, Tom, and Sam Rover — the spirited brothers who made the Rover Boys series a phenomenon of early twentieth-century children's literature — trade classroom drills for country air as their school days draw to a close and adventure calls on a nearby farm. Rivalries, pranks, midnight escapades, and a satisfying tangle of secrets unfold in Stratemeyer's brisk, good-humored prose, offering modern readers a vivid window into the fiction that shaped American boyhood for a generation. This edition reproduces the original text in full, exactly as first published, and adds a new introduction exploring Stratemeyer's remarkable career and the series' place in publishing history, along with reader's notes illuminating period details and language. Ideal for collectors, students, and anyone curious about the roots of American series fiction. Part of The Founding Texts Library.
