Homecoming Spirits

I have this problem. I can see ghosts.

It’s only a problem for me. Not for them.

Ghosts love that I can see them.

They get to tell me their life stories and act like I’m their personal errand girl.

No thank you.

It’s better if the ghosts don’t know I can see them.

That worked great until one tried to stick her hand into my chest.

Then the jig was up.

I take exception to ghostly parts being put inside my body.

Again, no thank you.

But that ghost knew I could see her.

And I knew that she knew.

The person who didn’t know?

The very human and alive hockey player whose locker is next to mine at Haven Rock High School.

The one who invited me to his hockey buddy’s party.

The hockey buddy who lives in the mansion on the edge of town.

The same buddy that is banned from our school so he plays for the Ravens hockey team and why do all the ghosts not want me to go to his particular house?

Guess I gotta find out why.

Yes. So many problems for me.
