Convergence Leaving Los Angeles by Brian Bailey

CONVERGENCE

Six months before the world ended, one man had a dream.

It wasn't a nightmare. It wasn't a vision of monsters or war. It was simply an unshakable certainty that something catastrophic was coming. Against every ounce of logic, he remortgaged his paid-off home, bought a small piece of land in the Ozarks, and spent every dollar he could preparing for a future he prayed would never arrive.

Everyone thought he'd lost his mind.

Then, in a single afternoon, the impossible happened.

Earthquakes shattered cities. Tsunamis erased coastlines. Volcanoes erupted without warning. Entire regions froze solid while others burned beneath unimaginable heat. Civilization collapsed in hours, leaving only a fraction of humanity alive.

But when the Convergence began, he wasn't at his refuge.

He was trapped beneath the ruins of his collapsing home in Los Angeles.

With only the supplies he can recover and a destination nearly 1,500 miles away, survival becomes a relentless journey across a broken continent where every mile must be earned and every decision could be his last.

Sometimes the greatest challenge isn't surviving the end of the world...

It's making it home.
