DUANE "KEFFE D" DAVIS by Cole Drayton

For thirty years, one question haunted hip hop: who killed Tupac Shakur? On September 7, 1996, a legend was shot four times on the Las Vegas Strip and died six days later. The case went cold almost instantly — no weapon, no getaway car, no witnesses willing to talk. For nearly three decades, it stayed that way. Then the man at the center of it all did something almost nobody in his position ever does: he kept talking. On television. In a memoir. On podcasts. For money, for respect, for the thrill of being known as the one who was really there — Duane "Keffe D" Davis spent over a decade narrating his own alleged crime in public, apparently convinced his past would never catch up to him. It did. In 2023, a Nevada grand jury indicted him. In 2026, a jury convicted him — using his own words as the evidence that put him away. DUANE "KEFFE D" DAVIS: The Untold True Story of How a 27-Year Cold Case Finally Convicted Tupac Shakur's Killer is the definitive account of the beating that started it, the shooting that ended a life, the decade of public confessions that unraveled it all, and the trial that finally delivered justice.
