Shadow of the Lone Wolf by Griff Hosker

Endure the darkness, claim the dawn.

In the heart of ancient Hispania, Bruneus, the heir to the chief's legacy, embarks on a raid with his clan, the proud Clan of the Eagle. But fate is cruel; when errors are made and disaster ensues, the elders are mercilessly slain, leaving only Bruneus and a few battered souls to carry their clan's memory. As they return to their village, hoping to find solace, they are met with an even greater horror - a plague that has ravaged their home, extinguishing their loved ones and burning their past to ashes.

Now, stripped of kin and clan, Bruneus rises to the challenge. Renaming their collective spirit as the 'Clan of the Lone Wolf,' he leads the survivors on a journey to Gades, seeking purpose and pride as mercenaries in the service of the mighty Carthaginian Empire. But destiny has more in store than mere contracts and pay; their path intertwines with an ambitious Carthaginian noble allied with the formidable Hamilcar Barca, setting the stage for tumultuous conflicts that challenge their resilience and loyalty.

As they traverse the unfamiliar landscape of Sicily and the grandeur of Carthage, Bruneus confronts the true meaning of leadership, sacrifice, and destiny. Will he be able to forge a new legacy from the ashes of loss, or will the shadows of despair consume him and his clan?

Through the pages of Shadow of the Lone Wolf, readers will embark on an epic saga of survival, tenderness, and the relentless pursuit of redemption against the backdrop of historical tumult. Experience the thrill of battle, the agony of loss, and the strength of unwavering spirit as Bruneus learns that even in the darkest shadows, hope can lead the way forward.
