Corridor by Alexander Brovkin

CORRIDOR is an analytical exploration of the Caspian, Azov and Black Seas as a single interconnected trading system. Oil, grain, metals and containers move through ports, pipelines, railways, rivers and straits, linking Central Asia, Russia, the Caucasus, Türkiye and Europe.

Alexander Brovkin examines how a disruption at a single point can reverberate across the entire chain — from oilfields and terminals to shipping insurance, freight rates and global commodity prices. Particular attention is given to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), Novorossiysk, the Danube, the Middle Corridor, the Bosporus and the emerging role of autonomous maritime technologies.

This is a book about the new geography of risk — a world in which a sea may remain physically open while becoming economically inaccessible. Geography separates the Caspian, Azov and Black Seas. Trade transforms them into a single CORRIDOR.
