The Lantern Platform by Matthew Petchinsky

When dense fog blankets the forgotten railway station in Mourningvale, an impossible platform appears where no tracks should exist. Suspended above it are seven antique lanterns, each revealing a different tragedy waiting to unfold. A drowning. A burning bride. A child standing helplessly before an oncoming train. And one lantern that burns with absolute darkness.

Three years after the mysterious death of her fiancé, Elias Hart, Clara Voss is drawn back to the station by a letter written in his unmistakable handwriting. There she discovers Platform Seven-a place where grief is harvested, memories are stolen, and every choice demands an unbearable sacrifice. To save innocent lives, Clara must decide which lights survive and which must be extinguished, knowing that one wrong decision could erase a person from existence forever.

As the fog grows thicker and the last train arrives, Clara uncovers a terrifying truth hidden beneath the rails: the station itself is alive, feeding on sorrow while trapping the living and the dead in an endless cycle of guilt and loss.

Dark, atmospheric, emotionally devastating, and filled with relentless psychological suspense, The Lantern Platform is a haunting journey into memory, love, sacrifice, and the terrifying cost of refusing to let go.
