Virginia Clay is a British children's author and teacher based in Kenya. She studied English before working as an actor in London and later moving to Kenya in 2010. Her love of Kenya, its people and wildlife inspired her debut novel, Warrior Boy, which was shortlisted for the Times/Chicken House Children's Fiction Competition. Virginia enjoys writing stories that inspire children to explore, face their fears and discover where they belong.
