Vorcalix by Robert M. Kerns

They set out to kidnap a rich kid. They grabbed a princess instead.

Korvira, Crown Princess of Vorcalix, was enjoying a rare day among her people—until a moment of chaos ended in her disappearance. The crew meant to snatch a textile heir. But when one of them recognized Korvira, everything changed… and now they're in way over their heads.

Because someone will come for her. And they should pray it isn't him.

When the ransom arrives, there's only one team the King trusts with his daughter's life: Shepherd Security Services. Led by Alex Hawke, the crew must unravel the truth, outpace planetary politics, and find Korvira before the galaxy's most dangerous rescue mission becomes a funeral.

Meanwhile, the Magellan continues a search for something lost to Alex: Earth.

A kidnapped princess. A desperate mission. And a galaxy about to remember why you never cross the Shepherd.
Vorcalix delivers high-stakes action, layered intrigue, and the return of a legend.
