The Apostolic Tradition of Hippolytus by Hippolytus of Rome

*The Apostolic Tradition* is an early-third-century Christian church order traditionally attributed to Hippolytus of Rome. The book contains the earliest detailed description we possess of the structure of public worship in the Roman church of the early third century. It has been a foundational source for every twentieth-century scholarly reconstruction of early Christian liturgy. This edition reproduces the standard public-domain English translation in full.
