Darlings That Kill by Mark Harbinger

A women arranges for an Uber ride that she knows ends in death; a blind gypsy humbles the world's greatest sorcerer-with his own gift; a Goddess sacrifices her soulmate for the sake of Art; an orphan peasant girl meets a mysterious man from the future, as she is asked to decide which parts of humanity lives or dies...

Whether based on battle-tech, raw smarts, or empathy; and whether behind-the-scenes or as the most powerful woman in the world-if you like the idea of bringing back strong women in nuanced, classic story-telling (not self-insert pandering) across many genres: Dark Fantasy, Horror, Science Fiction, and Literary, this collection of weirdly powerful short stories might be for you.
