Night Watch - A Short Story by Damian Kostas

In the stifling heat of a Greek military base, young soldier Nikos learns that some orders are impossible to refuse.

When Lieutenant Papadopoulos summons him to write a report behind a locked door, the air thickens with authority, tension, and something far more dangerous. What begins as a moment of raw power and hesitant surrender slowly transforms into stolen nights of intense passion — forbidden touches, whispered commands, and a connection neither man can deny.

But as Nikos's discharge date approaches, the lines between duty and desire blur. In the blue glow of the night watch room, on the eve of goodbye, they share a final, devastating encounter that feels like both possession and farewell.
