Aurora's Dawn by M. Lee Prescott

Aurora “Rori” Lake, former restaurant owner and divorcee, comes to Horseshoe Crab Cove to heal. She takes a job as co-manager of a successful farm to table restaurant. A year later, single and lonely, she meets tall, gorgeous Teagan Waite, a biologist who works at the Cove Lab. Their mutual attraction kicks off a white hot love affair, disrupted by a kidnapping (his nephew’s), and Teagan’s painful past. The lovers split, they reunite, they split again, both miserable when apart. A cast of supportive characters includes Rori’s brother Fagin, a homicide detective and Teagan’s large, loving family surround. So, they have lots of support and advice, but it’s ultimately up to these lovers to move beyond the past and find a life together in the present and future. Will they succeed? Grab book ten in the Morgan’s Fire series and find out!
