Love Elevator
A Sweet Romance by C. S. Dexter

Aubrie Parker came to inspect a high-rise construction project, not relive an awkward piece of her childhood.

The last person she expects to see standing on the job site is Kevin Harris—the boy who once threatened to wipe boogers on her and somehow never forgot her name.

Now they're adults. Aubrie is focused on her career. Kevin is determined to prove he's nothing like the annoying kid she remembers.

Then an earthquake strikes.

When a glass construction elevator becomes trapped high above the city, Aubrie and Kevin find themselves stranded together while the damaged building groans around them. With rescue uncertain and danger waiting around every corner, the two must rely on each other to survive.

As the hours turn into days, old misunderstandings begin to fade. Kevin's steady kindness breaks through Aubrie's defenses, while Aubrie discovers a strength in herself that goes far beyond her job title. But Kevin is hiding a painful secret—an injury far worse than he's willing to admit.

As their situation grows more desperate, Aubrie realizes that losing Kevin would hurt far more than she ever imagined.

Sometimes the longest journey isn't down twenty-three floors.

Sometimes it's the distance between two hearts.
