The Hidden Books of the Ethiopian Bible by J.T. Alexander

Your Bible left some books out. Ethiopia never did. For over a thousand years, one church has quietly read scripture that the rest of the Christian world calls lost, banned, or apocryphal. The Book of Enoch, with its fallen angels and giant Nephilim. The Book of Jubilees, an angel-dictated retelling of Genesis. The three books of Meqabyan — scripture found nowhere else on Earth. While European councils argued their way down to 66 books, the Ethiopian Orthodox Church held onto 81 — and it turns out they may have had the fuller story all along. Then, in 1947, a shepherd's stray stone cracked open a cave near the Dead Sea — and inside were fragments of Enoch and Jubilees, thousands of years old, confirming everything Ethiopia had preserved was real. The Hidden Books of the Ethiopian Bible takes you inside this forgotten library: 📜 The Watchers — the angels who fell, and the forbidden knowledge they taught humanity 👑 The "Son of Man" in Enoch — a heavenly judge described a century before the Gospels 🗓 Jubilees' hidden 364-day calendar, and the war it sparked at Qumran ⚔️ Meqabyan — Ethiopia's own scripture of kings, martyrs, and idols refused 👑 The Kebra Nagast — the Queen of Sheba, King Solomon, and the Ark's journey to Africa 🏛 How the biblical canon was actually decided — and why Ethiopia was never in the room 🐐 The eighteenth-century Scottish explorer who smuggled Enoch out of Ethiopia in disguise This isn't a conspiracy theory, and it doesn't ask you to abandon the Bible you know. It's a clear-eyed, deeply researched journey through real history — councils, manuscripts, archaeology, and a monastery culture that has copied these texts onto goatskin for fifteen hundred years — showing exactly how one part of the world quietly kept what everyone else let go. If you've ever wondered what got left out of the Bible, and why, this is the book that finally answers it.
