The operator-tested framework for leading AI transformation as a talent strategy

Most enterprise AI initiatives fail because organizations treat them as technology rollouts rather than talent management challenges. In Workforce Intelligence: The People-First Playbook for Leading Your Company Through AI Transformation, OneDigital co-founder Mike Sullivan and Chief Product Officer Vinay Gidwaney introduce an operating model that treats the workforce as a composed capacity of human judgment and machine capability, orchestrated together.

Built from the authors' experience scaling OneDigital to a $1.7 billion enterprise serving 100,000 employers, Workforce Intelligence traces the evolution from Personnel Management to Human Capital Management to the new discipline of WI. The book delivers real client situations, internal operating metrics, and a tested management philosophy forged under private-equity scrutiny.

Ultimately, you’ll learn how to pass the “Humanity Test”: When confronted with the option of reinvesting returns from AI in the people who built your business or pocketing the excess margins, you’ll know the best option is the first one – and exactly how to execute it. You’ll also find:
A historical arc showing why each workforce management transition required a new philosophy, not just new tools Named scenes and real client situations illustrating how the Workforce Intelligence framework operates in practice Guidance for CHROs on positioning people leadership, not technology teams, as the owner of AI transformation A measurement framework designed to withstand board-level scrutiny when justifying AI-driven workforce investments Practical direction for people managers who need to act on AI-related workforce changes starting Monday morning

Written for HR leaders, CHROs, benefits executives, CEOs, and people managers at mid-to-large employers, Workforce Intelligence provides the operational framework and management philosophy needed to lead AI transformation as a people strategy rather than a technology deployment.
