Counseling and Advising 21st Century Middle School Students by Kathleen Costantini, Corine Fitzpatrick

Counseling and Advising 21st Century Middle School Students provides a curriculum for counselors, teachers, and administrators to support middle school children in academic growth, college and career readiness, and social-emotional development to improve their future choices.

This user-friendly career and college awareness curriculum includes key developmental and early adolescent tasks, highlighting the importance of how education and decision-making can impact middle school children’s futures. The importance of parental involvement is explored, reinforcing the notion that administration and faculty guidance will be most successful where students are insulated with family engagement.

This book closes the current gap on future development guidance for counselors, educators, and parents, and acts as a vital tool for professionals working with middle school children to provide as much guidance and support as possible.
