Malicious Consequences by Amanda Siegrist

Moving on can produce dangerous consequences.

Lucas Dalton can’t move forward until he finds the man who murdered three women and nearly killed his sister. Relentless reporters make healing impossible. Especially Elle Conners, the most diabolical one of all. She wants an exclusive interview, something Lucas and his sister have never provided. He isn’t going to start now, no matter how gorgeous or tempting she is.

When another malicious murder occurs, Lucas knows the truth: the killer is back. As he digs deeper into the case, a terrifying pattern emerges. Every clue points to Elle, the one woman he can’t seem to get out of his mind. Now she needs him for more than an interview. She needs him to keep her alive.

Has an old nemesis returned, or a new evil emerged? As bodies start piling up and Elle becomes the killer’s next obsession, Lucas will go to any lengths to uncover the truth and protect the woman at the center of it all. Even if it means risking everything he’s fought to rebuild.
