Your grammar can be perfect and you can still say "do a mistake". This is the book that fixes that.
A collocation is two words English habitually puts together: make a decision, heavy rain, pay attention. There is no rule behind any of them. Nothing about the word decision requires make rather than do.
These are the errors that survive fluency. Grammar mistakes disappear as you improve; collocation mistakes do not. Native speakers notice instantly and cannot explain why, so nobody corrects you.
The first seven units take one verb each — make, do, take, have, get, give and pay, then keep, hold and break. Units 8 to 12 cover adjectives and adverbs with fixed partners. Units 13 to 25 are by subject.
Every collocation gets a plain-English meaning, three example sentences, a pattern label showing which word is fixed, a usage note, and the wrong partner shown wrong and right.
Every unit ends with a sixteen-question test — 400 practice questions, with a full answer key and an A–Z index at the back.
