Percival's Rocket Rescue by Alice Louise Meredith

The asteroid was coming. The rocket wasn't ready. And nobody would listen to the janitor who could fix everything.

Meet Percival Pencil: mop-pusher, trash-emptier, and the only one standing between Inkwellia and disaster. As the countdown speeds toward launch, Percival races to find someone who will listen to his warning. Will he be able to convince that snooty Dr. Patrick or will Inkwellia be doomed?

Kids will be swept up in the ticking-clock suspense, the packed press conference, and the nail-biting dash to stop a launch before it's too late. Underneath the adventure, this story quietly shows what real courage can look like — holding steady to the truth even when nobody wants to hear it.

With richly detailed illustrations bringing the fantastical world of Inkwellia to life, this is a space-rescue adventure with heart, built for kids who love a countdown clock and a hero nobody saw coming.
