Funeral Home Secrets by Aria Blackwell

The dead were supposed to stay silent.

Monique Carter has spent her entire life around death. As a licensed embalmer working for her family's respected funeral home, she knows how to restore bodies, comfort grieving families, and keep emotions separate from business.

But when a young woman arrives after midnight with bruises around her wrists, falsified paperwork, and no official identity, Monique realizes something horrifying:

The girl was never supposed to wake up.

As whispers surrounding the Avalon House scandal continue spreading across Connecticut, Monique uncovers a hidden network operating beneath funeral homes, transport services, and medical systems designed to make women disappear permanently.

Bodies are being moved.
Records are being altered.
Evidence is being cremated.

And someone inside her own family may be helping bury the truth.

With the help of Zuri Bennett, Monique is pulled into a terrifying conspiracy where powerful institutions protect predators, survivors are hunted, and even the dead are no longer safe.

Dark, atmospheric, and emotionally gripping, Funeral Home Secrets is the second installment in the Elm City Files — a binge-worthy psychological suspense universe filled with corruption, missing women, hidden systems, and dangerous secrets.

Some secrets aren't buried. They're cremated.
