The Aruba Confession: Joran Van Der Sloot, Natalee Holloway, And The Lies That Haunted Two Continents by David G. Stone

For eighteen years, one question haunted two continents: What really happened to Natalee Holloway?

On May 30, 2005, eighteen-year-old Natalee Holloway vanished from a beach in Aruba during her high school graduation trip. The last person seen with her was Joran van der Sloot—a charismatic Dutch teenager with a dangerous secret.

For nearly two decades, van der Sloot spun a web of lies that spanned from the Caribbean to South America. He tormented Natalee's family with false confessions, fake burial sites, and a cruel extortion scheme. When his lies finally caught up with him in a Lima hotel room, another young woman—Stephany Flores—paid the ultimate price.

On October 18, 2023, the lies finally ended.

In a stunning confession that made international headlines, van der Sloot admitted to the brutal murder of Natalee Holloway, revealing graphic details of how he bludgeoned the Alabama teenager with a cinder block and dumped her body in the ocean—all because she dared to resist his sexual advances.

The Aruba Confession takes you inside the most notorious missing person case of the 21st century, revealing:

• The shocking details of van der Sloot's confession and what really happened that night • How a mother's eighteen-year quest for truth finally paid off • The international conspiracy of silence that protected a killer • The pattern of violence that claimed victims on two continents • Why justice remains elusive despite the confession

Based on court documents, FBI interviews, and exclusive access to the families involved, this is the definitive account of a case that captivated the world—and the monster who destroyed lives across two continents.
